2020 🇨🇭inofficial Swiss Downhill Champion under17-class
La Grande Combe FRANCE
Since the race in BLausasc was postpoed due to COVID-19 we went to La Grand Combe. It was a super fun track with a lot of speed and jumps. The few technical parts really went fine. In the highspeed passage I lost some seconds for a good result. It would have loved to ride there a few days more to get up to the speed of the local Frenchies ;-).
Alpe D`Huez France
Mass start at MAXIAVALANCHE!! Nothing I thought I would race this year but .... I was really afraid of starting with the adults in the same group and started much too careful. Overtaking is difficult and the race was quite long with 18-19 min. per run (3 runs total). A 2nd place in the end in the MAXIAVALANCHE Challenger U17 class was a great reward. I will definetly do another mass-start race again!
La Berra Switzerland
The first Downhill race after the virus-break and this as well on home soil. A very special chance to get back between the tape.
Seeding run went really well on this cool track. I rode up to the rider in front of me and could not race full speed to the finish - 2nd place though.
In the frist race run on Sunday everything went perfect - I could catch all lines and speed felt great...unfortunately I los my rear wheel on a root and went OTB...
The pain was so bad that I thought the radius in my arm as broken. X-ray showed it`s ok. I will take some days rest and hopefully be prepared for the next race!
Coupe de France Métabief
This was a muddy one! With a lot of bad luck! I ripped my roll-off on my goggle and rode BLIND in my quali run. The race run was even worse with a flar rear tire after 15m into the run.....Kept going and cleared all road gaps but lost more than 30 sec on the winner. Next time please more luck and better weather.
Coupe de France Les Orres
such a cool track!!!! Getting chased by Lris Vergier was special ;-) In my racerun I had 4 nearly-crashed so P12 was pretty ok.
Deutsche DH Meisterschaft Steinach
wet and muddy! A crash in my qualies made me ride a bit too careful. Plus too heavy mud tire in the front added up to 3 sec. on the podium which I was aiming for. 6 in the end.
Swiss Champs St. Luc VS
SNOW on Friday night so the race got cancelled. Very disappounting! Thetrack was really fun.
SWISS CHAMPS (finally;-)
Lenzerheide / World Cup track
yoooo- got to race the world cup track on the alternate venue in Lenzerheide after the cancellation some weeks ago. Perfect weather, great organisation and a cool track to race on! Training went well and qualification was my best run of the year - just 18 sec off the best time of the day. In my race run I did not hit all lines perfectly but still could win the race. Swiss Cycling does not give an official title to under17-class but stilll - so cool to finally win the last race of the season!
